The Beautiful Things That Haunt Us

Everyone has felt haunted by something beautiful in their past. Whether it was a moment of extreme joy or the worst kind of depression, a compliment someone once gave you, or a moment where you felt closer to someone than you have ever felt to anyone else in your entire life, I believe everyone is haunted by their memories in some way and for a reason. Sometimes these memories make us better people and remind us of what love really looks like when we are at our darkest moments. Sometimes they are the only thing in the often harsh and cruel world we live in that we have to hold on to. Regardless, these memories are beautiful and should never be forgotten even if they make us uncomfortable at times or cause us to long for a different time in our life.
